VASTU FOR COMPLEX

The small towns and cities that used to be called “small cities” are becoming metropolises in this age of rapid development and a rapidly growing population. The land shortage for commercial and residential activities is increasing rapidly due to the rapid growth of the population. Multi-story buildings are being built for commercial purposes. The number is growing rapidly. Due to increasing production, more business houses have opened their showrooms and offices in order to market their products. These commercial buildings are now a necessity. These offices can be used to manage multi-story commercial complexes.

Multistoried buildings can be constructed, but Vaastu principles cannot be applied. High prices mean that most of the cost is paid and the space is used to its maximum extent. If the Vaastu rules are respected during construction of commercial buildings, they are a success and can be sold quickly.

For this purpose, a rectangular plot with side ratios of between 1 and 2 is best. These plots are considered auspicious because they can be used to build commercial units. The building should have enough space. There should be more open space on the North and East sides of the building than on its south and west. Parking in the east side and lawn in the north side open spaces are both auspicious. The slope of the land should be south to North and west to east. The main gate should not be located in the South-west corner of the plot. The main entrance door should be higher than individual units’ entry doors.

Underground water storage and tube-wells may be built in the North or North-East zones of the plot. Overhead water storage tanks can be placed in the north-west. The direction in which rainwater and waste water should flow is north or east. Tall and dense trees that are used for horticulture should be kept away from the building. Their shadow should not fall on the building after 4 pm in the evening. Each floor should be designed so that fresh air can freely flow through every room. Every room should have daylight.

An attached toilet should be located in the south corner of any room within the complex. If a store room or office is needed, it should be located in the west or south part of the room. It is best to build stairs in the west or south zone of the main building. It is not a good idea to build stairs in the east or north of the main building. Complexes are often built to maximize space and sometimes cause blunders. Complexes that are built according to vastu are well-known and more successful than other types.

  • The area should have the majority of the construction work done on the South/West side.
  • Generators and other electrical equipment should be stored in the southeast corner.
  • If you are climbing up stairs, it is best to place them on the southwest.
  • Northeast should have a bore-well and underground tank.
  • The overhead tank should always be constructed in the Southwest.
  • South and west should have large trees and good lawns. North and east should have lawns that are tender and rich in water.
  • You can build a small temple in the northeast corner of the building or in the middle. You can allow the temple to have entrances from all four sides, east and north. However, the temple entrance should not be located in front of any shop or complex entrance gates.
  • It is best to place the toilet in the Northwest corner or Western corner, and not in Northeast corner.
  • The slope of the land should face North or East.
  • As a rule, there should be more windows on the North & East walls than on the South & West.
  • It is important that the shape of the building be consistent.
